Selfie Pro is an independent service — no fundraising, no investors. The product is designed, built and operated at a small scale, with one simple goal: ship a usable professional photo, friction-free, without compromising on privacy.

The scope is deliberately narrow. A single use case — the professional profile photo — handled end to end: shooting guide, generation, delivery, deletion. No side features, no aggressive tracking.

Why this service exists

A good profile photo is still one of the most neglected parts of a job application or a LinkedIn profile. Yet it's often the very first thing a recruiter, a client or a partner sees. Going to a photographer costs €80 to €300, takes half a day and a suit you may not even want to buy for a single session.

Selfie Pro exists to solve this: a professional portrait, delivered in under a minute, from a plain smartphone selfie. No studio, no session, no wardrobe. The same level of quality, available to everyone.

How it works, technically

Image generation runs on the Google Gemini API. Selfie Pro infrastructure is hosted in the European Union, and Gemini processing is explained before the selfie is sent. The service is built around four principles:

• Selfie Pro infrastructure in the European Union (Firebase App Hosting, region europe-west4).
• No selfie stored on our servers: your photo passes through memory during generation. It may remain temporarily in your browser during the flow.
• Temporary generated image: your HD portrait is kept for 90 days max, then automatically deleted.
• GDPR rights available: data export and erasure request from the "My account" page.

A good profile photo should not depend on a budget, a free afternoon or a wardrobe. Technology can democratize something as ordinary as presenting yourself visually, without sacrificing quality or privacy. That belief drives every product decision we make.
